Course Description
Overview of the characteristics of mild/moderate disabilities. Discusses the planning and evaluation of curriculum, methods, techniques, basic strategies, materials and media used for teaching students who manifest mild/moderate disabilities across the content areas. Addresses positive behavior support. Emphasizes learning strategies, study skills, critical-thinking skills, educational assessment, interactive teaming and parent involvement as they relate to IEP development and evaluation of instruction.
