JFK School of Law at National University

The JFK School of Law’s Juris Doctor degree Program has been continually accredited by the Committee of Bar Examiners for the State Bar of California since 1981. Our Juris Doctor program emphasizes the practical application of theory, preparing students to successfully sit for the CA Bar Examination and enter the legal profession as highly skilled, ethical, and passionate legal professionals.

The JFK School of Law also offers several American Bar Association (ABA) approved undergraduate paralegal and pre-law degrees to prepare our students for a wide range of positions in the legal field.

At the JFK School of Law, we value/balance the flexibility that distance learning provides and the importance of faculty-to-student mentorship and student-to-student interaction. We provide law students the opportunity to enroll in courses which blend both synchronous and asynchronous learning – allowing you to work towards a law degree on your time and from a place that is convenient for you.

We invite you to experience our difference.

The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) accredits public and private schools, colleges, and universities in the U.S.

The JFK School of Law at National University is accredited by The Committee of Bar Examiners of the State Bar of California. Accreditation by The Committee of Bar Examiners permits graduates from JFK School of Law to take the California Bar Examination upon graduation and, when the graduate passes and complies with all other admission requirements, to practice law anywhere in California, in both State and federal courts.

The ABA-approved law programs are the Bachelor’s in Paralegal Studies and all three paralegal certificates. The JD is not ABA-approved.

Neither the American Bar Association nor its Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar endorses, cooperates with, or provides data to any law school ranking system. No ranking or rating system of law schools is attempted or advocated by the ABA. Rather, the ABA provides only a statement of the accreditation status of a school. Fully approved schools have demonstrated that they are operating in compliance with each of the ABA Standards for Approval of Law Schools. Their compliance is regularly monitored and comprehensive reviews are conducted every tenth year. Provisionally approved schools, also considered “ABA-Approved,” have been determined to be operating in substantial compliance with the ABA Standards for Approval of Law Schools. Prospective law students should consider a variety of factors in making their choice among schools.
