Completion of all required DHH credential course work with a GPA of B or better. Recommendation by the faculty. Interns will complete the Professional Induction Seminar for the Internship Program, EXC 655I
Course Description
This two month experience will provide full day, full-time supervised student teaching with learners who are deaf, hard of hearing or deaf with special needs. Students will participate in public day or residential classes for learners who are DHH for a minimum of 300 supervised contact hours as required for the Education Specialist credential. Candidates work with credentialed master teachers providing special education services in programs for deaf and hard of hearing students.
