Course Description

A survey of the history, values, assumptions, methods, and limitations of the organization consulting process, the course discusses both internal and external consulting as well as roles of managers as both consultants and administrators of the consulting process.

Learning Outcomes

  • Evaluate the components of building and maintaining a successful consulting practice including professional relationships, marketing, contract negotiating, and fee setting.
  • Write a specific consulting proposal of relevance to an organization.
  • Apply business and professional ethical theories and practices to all stages of the consulting process.
  • Develop specific approaches and intervention strategies used in the consulting process for both external and internal consulting.
