Dr. Kamlesh Mehta is a professor and the Lead Faculty (Director) of the MBA Program at National University. Dr. Mehta has earned the Doctor of International Business and Master of Business Administration degrees from USA and the Master of Commerce, Bachelor of Commerce, and Post Graduate Industrial Purchase and Materials Management degrees, all with honors, from India. He has completed the “Art and Craft of Discussion Leadership”, a certificate program from Harvard Business School, USA.
As a professor, his areas of interests in teaching are international business, marketing, and business strategy and policy. He has been recognized in The National Faculty Directory (USA) and twice in the Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers (USA). In addition, he has received several teaching awards including the Outstanding Teacher Award, the Enthusiastic Teacher Award, and the Advisor of The Year award. He was an Endowed Professor of International Business and Marketing at his former university.
The Harvard Business School Publisher has recognized Dr. Kamlesh Mehta in The International Directory of Business and Management Scholars and Research in the United States. He has published over 40 scholarly research works, eight of which have earned him outstanding research awards. His scholarly work is published in The Journal of Business Case Studies, SAM Advanced Management Journal, The Journal of Interdisciplinary Education, The Journal of Applied Business Research, The Journal of International Information Management, Industrial Management and Data Systems, The Midwest Review of International Business Research, The Journal of Technical Writing and Communications, The Business Review-Cambridge, and others. Dr. Mehta has reviewed numerous textbooks in International Business and Management for various publishers in USA. He is a Senior Scholar (lifetime honor) at his former University.
Dr. Mehta’s administrative experiences include the Founding Director of the Center for Global Business Studies, Chair of the Department of Business Administration at several institutions, elected President of the Southwest Decision Sciences Institute, elected Vice President for the Southwest Academy of International Business, and others. As a Study Abroad Program Director he has organized several study abroad programs in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Norway, Sweden, and Mexico. He is experienced in AACSB and IACBE accreditation processes in higher education in USA.
Dr. Mehta’s global consulting experiences include clients such as Bank of America in California, Emporia Chamber of Commerce in Kansas, MIG Investments Inc. in Britain, Pepsi Inc. in Mexico, Colgate Palmolive Ltd. in India, Village Printing Co. in California, State Bank of India, and others. Moreover, he has served as the Vice President of the Board of Directors of International Focus Inc. in North Carolina, and on the Board of Directors of The Clute Institute in Colorado, Advisory Board of the Teacher Education Program at his former institution in North Carolina, and the Editorial Advisory Board of the Journal of Business Case Studies and the International Journal of Management and Information Systems.
Dr. Mehta has traveled to over 40 countries and is fluent in four languages. In his spare time, he enjoys giving a helping hand to the economically displaced and Adopt-a-Library programs.
