Course Description
This course provides an overview of air quality management with an emphasis on the sources of air pollution and how they affect the environment. Students will study federal, state and local regulatory requirements and air pollution law, including the California and Federal Clean Air Acts, Ambient Air Quality Standards and government policies on pollution prevention. The course includes an introduction to air pollution meteorology, climatology, chemistry, atmospheric pollutants, air quality and emissions assessment, control of emissions from stationary sources, prevention, and control measures.
