Program Overview

On Campus Online

Develop skills and build experiences for a career or study in international relations, development, education, social science, immigration, law, or government with the Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies online program. By applying the concept of thinking locally and acting globally, you’ll build a framework to understand and negotiate global realities, whether economic, political, cultural, or ecological. You’ll also expand cultural understanding and discover potential markets for your unique ideas and talents. The Bachelor of Arts Global Studies program explores the roles that ecology, gender, race, class, religion, and ethnicity play in cultural environments and apply that understanding to everyday interactions among diverse cultures. Coursework includes building a portfolio to integrate the skills you’ll acquire and apply them to solve a real-world problem.

Program Learning Outcomes

  • Explain the varied experiences of different social groups interacting with the global economy over the past several hundred years.
  • Analyze a global problem such as poverty, hunger, the spread of disease, or environmental degradation from several disciplinary perspectives.
