Personal Information
Jocelyn Corrao has been part of the Nursing Department since June 2009. Her areas of expertise include Leadership and Management, Health Assessment, Fundamentals, and Medical-Surgical nursing courses. Ms. Corrao completed her Doctor of Education from Nova Southeastern University with a concentration in Nursing Education. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Thomas Edison State University, a Master in Business Administration from Cardinal Stritch University, and undergraduate science degrees in Nursing and Psychology both from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She has certifications in Distance Education and ANCC Gerontological Nursing and maintains active Registered Nurse licensure in Wisconsin and California. She was instrumental in implementing Simulation Learning at the Los Angeles Center. In addition, Dr. Corrao provides consultant services for health education initiatives and is active in several professional organizations that include Sigma Theta Tau International, Phi Gamma Sigma, National League for Nursing, and the Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses.
