Personal Information
Jocelyn Corrao has been part of the Nursing Department since June 2009, and has implemented Simulation Learning at the Los Angeles Center. She is an instructor for Health Assessment, Pharmacology, Foundations of Nursing and Medical-Surgical and Leadership in Nursing courses. Ms. Corrao earned a Master in Business Administration from Cardinal Stritch University with a BS in Nursing and BS in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is Board Certified in Gerontological Nursing since 2005.
She has been involved in direct care of patients and their families working in multiple inpatient and outpatient service areas which included Emergency, Orthopedics, Neurology, Medical-Surgical units, Cardiac stress testing, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Telephone Triage and Administrative management of outpatient clinics in a pediatric teaching institution over the last 25 years. She has served as a mentor for many newly licensed graduate nurses and nursing students and participated in numerous committee positions as well as serving as Resource nurse for Geriatric, Diabetes and End-Of-Life issues.
Ms. Corrao is a member of the National League of Nurses, Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses, National Gerontological Nursing Association, International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL) and The Chair Academy.
