ANE680 Nurse Anesthesia Clinical V

Course Description
Supervised clinical practicum with a high level of autonomy and critical thinking. Focusing on the entire spectrum of clinical nurse anesthesia practice, including pain management,outpatient surgery, emergency/trauma, OB, neonatal, and office based practice settings.
Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrate consistant application of anesthesia didactic knowledge and psychomotor skills.
- Conduct a comprehensive preoperative evaluation of the patient with complex anesthesia requirements and develop an appropriate anesthesia management plan.
- Demonstrate independence in clinical management and decision making throughout the entire perioperative phase.
- Apply pharmacologic, anatomic, and technical foundations to perform and manage peripheral nerve and major conduction blocks for anesthesia and perioperative pain management.
