Dr. Rollin “R.D.” Nordgren is a Professor in the Teacher Education Department, and Academic Program Director for the Multiple Subjects program. He earned a PhD in Interdisciplinary Studies/School Management, an MEd in Educational Leadership, and a BS in English Education—all from the University of South Florida. Dr. Nordgren is a former high school and middle school teacher and administrator, university department chair and dean. His dissertation and subsequent research focused on shared power in Swedish schools. Dr. Nordgren has also conducted research and published in the fields of curriculum, leadership, and the education of marginalized populations including refugee students in the U.S. and Sweden. He has published three books as well as dozens of articles, book chapters, and reports. Finally, Dr. Nordgren serves as Associate Editor for the Journal of Research in Innovative Teaching and Learning.
