National University Unveils “The Whole You” Anthem to Celebrate ‘ANDer’ Students Balancing Life and Learning

National University has launched its first original anthem, “The Whole You,” a powerful tribute to the university’s students known as “ANDers” who pursue higher education while balancing work, family, and other life responsibilities. The anthem highlights NU’s mission to honor adult learners who do it all, reflecting the real-life experiences of its 50,000 students, many of whom are in their 30s and managing full-time jobs, parenting, or military service alongside their studies.

Created in collaboration with award-winning musicians, including The Voice performer Dani Staci, “The Whole You” embodies the resilience and determination of NU students like Leanna Bautista and Vanessa Hernandez, both first-generation college graduates who personify the ANDer spirit. NU President Dr. Mark Milliron shared that the anthem is “more than a school song,” emphasizing that it reinforces a sense of belonging and pride among students who represent the “growing wave of learners working hard, learning well, and launching ready” to achieve their goals.
