National University and MiraCosta College announce a new expanded partnership that makes higher education more accessible and affordable for students, alumni, and employees in San Diego County. Unveiled during National Transfer Student Week, the collaboration allows MiraCosta students who complete an Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT) to receive a 46 % tuition reduction when they transfer to National University within 36 months. Additional tuition discounts include 25 % off for bachelor’s and master’s students, and 15 % off for doctoral students and employees pursuing advanced degrees, along with flexible online and hybrid learning options and dedicated transfer support.
Leaders from both institutions emphasize their shared commitment to student success, lifelong learning, and workforce readiness. “We serve similar students juggling life responsibilities, and this agreement helps them advance their careers and lives,” says National University’s Chris Graham, executive vice president of workforce and community education. MiraCosta College President Dr. Sunny Cooke highlights the partnership’s role in smoothing transitions from community college to higher degree attainment. By combining NU’s flexible Whole Human Education™ model with MiraCosta’s strong academic foundation, the partnership opens more doors for nontraditional, working, and military learners throughout the region.
