All terms of eligibility for current recipients, still apply. Students enrolled on or before the December 2021 term are eligible for the Fast Track Scholarship and must complete scholarship-eligible courses by May 30, 2022. No awards will be granted after May 30, 2022.

The Fast Track Scholarship is a merit-based award designed to help students stay persistent in their degree program by offering a free class for every four classes completed within six months. It’s our way of recognizing your progress, celebrating your success, and supporting you on your path to graduation.

To be eligible for the Fast Track Scholarship a student must:

  • Be a degree seeking student (Bachelor or Master) taking classes at NU with the first eligible courses for the Fast Track Scholarship beginning August 3, 2020
  • Complete four (4) courses (18 quarter-units) within a six (6) month period. *
  • Maintain good academic standing and satisfactory academic progress

All courses affiliated with scholarship must meet degree program requirements. The Fast Track Scholarship does not apply to repeat/retake courses. This scholarship may be used in conjunction with the Opportunity Scholarship.

Recipients of Fast Track scholarships will be notified by email.

*Student must complete 13.5 quarter units, beginning with the August 2020 term, before Fast Track scholarship can be applied. Any units taken prior to the August 2020 term are ineligible towards the required 13.5 quarter units. Scholarship will apply to the last 4.5 quarter units of the eligibility period after grades are received for the first 13.5 quarter units.

Institutional scholarships are tuition-only and last dollar. Students who are receiving 90% or more in educational assistance are not eligible for this scholarship. If you have any questions, please call (858) 642-8185, or email [email protected].
