Support for Veterans Balancing Life and School
National University is proud to support the Veterans who are a vital part of our community. Through a charitable gift from Veteran Ratings, the Veteran Ratings Scholarship will award a total of $12,000, offering each recipient a $1,000 stipend to help offset educational and living expenses.
This scholarship is made possible through a charitable gift from Veteran Ratings. Veteran Ratings allows Veterans to better understand the VA disability process and connects eligible Veterans with trusted partners for additional support. About the Scholarship
The Veteran Ratings Scholarship is designed for Veterans pursuing their education at National University. Unlike many other scholarships, the award covers educational and living expenses, giving you the flexibility to use funds where you need them most.
Key scholarship highlights:
- $1,000 stipend for educational and living expenses
- $12,000 in total awards to 12 recipients
- Open to currently enrolled Veteran students at NU
- Monthly awards continue through June 30, 2027
Scholarship recipients are selected after the application deadline. You’ll be contacted within 5–7 business days with the Scholarship Review Committee’s decision.
How It Works
- To be eligible, you must be a currently enrolled National University student with verified Veteran status
- Submit your Veteran Ratings Scholarship application by the 15th of each month to be considered for the monthly award
- Applicants who are not selected will remain in the eligible applicant pool for future awards as long as they remain active students. You do not need to apply each month
- First recipient will be announced July 30, 2026. One recipient is selected each month through June 30, 2027.

How to Apply
- Apply for the Veteran Ratings Scholarship using the form below.
- Submit one application by the 15th of the month to be considered for the following month’s award.
- If you are a new NU student, you must start class within 60 days of being selected for the award.
