Concentration in Infant and Toddler

(6 courses; 27 quarter units) This concentration is designed to equip candidates with the skills necessary to provide developmentally appropriate practice and environments for infants and toddlers. Candidates must successfully complete the following courses for a Concentration in Infant and Toddler in Early Childhood Education. It is recommended that students take these courses after completing the upper-division major requirements and when they are within six months of completing their degree program.

  1. Create environments that are healthy, respectful, supportive, and challenging for infants and toddlers.
  2. Create positive relationships and supportive interactions with infants, toddlers and their families.
