Course Description

An introduction to case brief writing and legal problem analysis. The classroom discussions employs the Socratic method used in law school classes.

Learning Outcomes

  • Discuss the concept that law is a dynamic process rather than a static entity.
  • Analyze and discuss court opinions.
  • Write case briefs and use them as effective tools for review and discussion.
  • Apply legal principles derived from court opinions to legal problems using the "IRAC" method of analysis.
