Intro to Law Legal Analysis

Course Description

An introduction to case brief writing and legal problem analysis. The classroom discussions employs the Socratic method used in law school classes.

Learning Outcomes

  • Discuss the concept that law is a dynamic process rather than a static entity.
  • Analyze and discuss court opinions.
  • Write case briefs and use them as effective tools for review and discussion.
  • Apply legal principles derived from court opinions to legal problems using the ‘IRAC’ method of analysis.
