Catherine (Catie) Chung PhD RN CNE resides in Henderson, Nevada. Her educational background includes: Ph.D., Nursing, University of Nevada Las Vegas; M.A., Health Promotion, University of Iowa; B.S.N., Nursing, University of Iowa; B.A., Psychology, University of Iowa. Dr. Chung began working with National University in 2008. She teaches in the generic BSN, RN-to-BSN, Master of Public Health- Health Promotion track.
Dr. Chung has clinical work experience in inpatient cardiac rehabilitation, labor & delivery, medical/surgical nursing, and geriatric nursing including rehabilitation and home health care.
Dr. Chung maintains active registered nursing licenses in Nevada and California. Additionally, she is a Certified Nurse Educator (National League for Nursing) and certified wound care nurse (WCEI). Dr. Chung has completed several publications and presentations about nursing education related topics and best practices in geriatric care.
