Cheryl YoungSchool of Health and Human Services
Cheryl Young joined The School of Health and Human Services at National University as an Adjunct instructor in June 2012. In September 2014, she became the Program Director for the Radiation Therapy Program, Costa Mesa. Ms. Young completed her undergraduate work at California State University, Long Beach, obtaining her Bachelors of Science in Radiation Therapy. Ms. Young then completed her Masters of Science degree in Organizational Leadership at National University. Prior to joining National University, she worked full time as a chief radiation therapist. Ms. Young had many years of experience in the field of radiation therapy, including roles as a staff therapists, chief therapist, department manager and clinical coordinator.
Ms. Young obtained her national license as a radiation therapist from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Ms. Young is a member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT), Association of Educators in Imaging and Radiologic Sciences (AEIRS), California Society of Radiologic Technologists (CSRT), Association of Collegiate Educators in Radiologic Technology (ACERT) and President of the Southern California Society of Radiation Therapists (SCSRT).
