The Sanford Harmony program, a research-based social emotional learning program, has reached a significant milestone with district-wide implementation taking place in PreK-5 throughout Nevada’s Clark County School District - the fifth largest school district in the country. Since its nationwide launch two years ago, Sanford Harmony, which is based on the vision of entrepreneur and philanthropist, T. Denny Sanford, has expanded to thousands of schools in more than 20 states. National University Celebrates its Sapphire Anniversary in November

In 1971, Dr. David Chigos, an executive from General Dynamics, founded National University to support the academic aspirations of an emerging population of adult learners by tailoring a flexible format that accommodated the needs of working professionals. Dr. Chigos opened National University with a single campus in San Diego, and while the University began with only 27 students that first year, it has grown to be among one of the largest private nonprofit universities in California.
