Home of the International Programs Office

The International Programs Office (IPO) is your comprehensive resource for information, advice, and assistance relating to your nonimmigrant-student status. The IPO facilitates the entire admissions process for international students and serves as the main source of information for all International Advisors throughout the University system. At National University, we work with students from all over the world and recognize the importance making your student experience a positive one.

Headquartered at the Spectrum Campus in San Diego, the IPO services our statewide international-student population. IPO enrolls students in a variety of ways including the Internet, referrals, education fairs and transfers from other colleges.

IPO offers academic support to prospective and current students by:

  • Completing the International Admissions Application process
  • Advising students on various academic degree programs
  • Preparing student files for evaluation of foreign transcripts
  • Advising students on English proficiency requirements
  • Monitoring students' attendance and progress throughout the duration of their academic programs
  • Assisting in the graduation process

We also assist students with various US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) issues:

  • Issuing Certificate of Eligibility for Non-Immigrant (F-1) student status for academic and language student form, also known as the I-20 form, for those students on a student visa
  • Change of Status requests
  • Filing for economic hardship
