Mr. Michael Zimmer

Michael teaches creating writing, composition, and artificial intelligence courses at National University. He chairs the School of Arts, Letters, & Sciences (SOALS) AI Strategy Group, and supervises the new sequence of artificial intelligence courses, including AIE 500: AI for All: Essentials, which he created. Other courses Michael has designed or that are in process are: ENG 203: Screenwriting and ENG 369: Storytelling for Leadership. As a screenwriter, Michael has developed projects at Paramount+, CBS Television Studios, Blumhouse, and Gunpowder & Sky, among others. He also co-directed and produced an award-winning feature documentary, The Entertainers, about the World Championship Old-Time Piano Playing Contest. In addition, Michael's fiction has appeared in Pithead Chapel, Crack the Spine, Akashic Books’ Mondays Are Murder, and more.
