Dr. Lara Carver

Associate Professor School of Health and Human Services

Personal Information
Lara Carver has been with National University Nevada since January 2006, and is a Certified Nurse Educator. She has a PhD in Nursing and a Post-Master’s Nursing Education Certificate from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), a Master of Science degree in nursing from the University of Phoenix, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from UNLV. Lara has been a Registered Nurse for 21 years. Her previous nursing experience includes cardiac-surgical and medical ICU, IMC, med/surg and seven years as a school nurse for the Clark County School District. She is an active member of the American Nurses Association, Nevada Nurses Association, and Sigma Theta Tau International. She lives in Las Vegas, Nevada with her partner Thomas and their three boys (ages 10-16) and three dogs.
