Personal Information
Lara Carver has been an Assistant Professor for National University Nevada since January 2006. She has a PhD in Nursing and a Post-Master’s Nursing Education Certificate from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), a Master of Science degree in nursing from the University of Phoenix, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from UNLV. Lara has been a Registered Nurse for 16 years. Her previous nursing experience includes cardiac-surgical and medical ICU, IMC, med/surg and seven years as a school nurse for the Clark County School District. She holds the position of Secretary on the Board of Directors for the Nevada Nurses Association and is an active member of the American Nurses Association, Nevada Organization of Nurse Leaders, and Sigma Theta Tau International. Lara lives in Las Vegas, Nevada with her son, Adam (age 11), partner Thomas, and his two sons Nick (7) and Connor (5).
