Luis Acebal received his B.S. degree in Business Administration (Finance) at San Diego State University. He later studied language and literature at the University of Nice, France where he received certification of proficiency in French. As a Peace Corps volunteer, he taught ESL at a secondary school in Morocco, and later moved to The Comoros Islands to assist in establishing the first ESL language program in that country. He received his graduate certificate in translation (French/English) from the Translation, Research, and Instruction Program at the State University of New York, Binghamton and then proceeded to complete his Ph.D. in Comparative Literature at the same institution. More recently, he was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship to conduct research and teach two graduate English literature courses in Santa Fe, Argentina. He is currently editor of Glimpse, an international journal dedicated to the question of phenomenology and media. Dr. Luis Acebal is the Lead Faculty for the B.A. Spanish program at National University.
