National University Converts Car Fleet to New Energy-Efficient Vehicles

 San Diego, Calif. - March 2, 2015 - Demonstrating its commitment to the environment and energy-efficient solutions, National University has acquired 26 Honda Accord Plug-In Hybrid cars to replace its current vehicle fleet that serves the University’s more than two dozen campuses throughout the state of California. The University, which is the 2nd largest private nonprofit university in the state, is believed to currently have the largest fleet of these Honda models in California.

National University Announces Initiatives to Increase Cross-Border Education Opportunities

  San Diego, Calif. - Feb. 24, 2015 - National University, the second largest private nonprofit university in California, announced this week that the University will offer $2 million in scholarships for Mexican student cohorts as part of an effort to encourage more cross-border education opportunities to strengthen the San Diego-Tijuana region’s economy. The announcement was made during a University Presidents Summit held in Tijuana Feb. 19 by the U.S. Consul General in Tijuana and the the Mexican Consul General in San Diego.

National University Professor Paul Majkut Joins International Committee on Digital Media

 San Diego, Calif.  Feb. 12, 2015 – National University Professor Paul Majkut has been named to a prestigious Steering Committee for a United Nations forum aiming to influence new ground rules on digital media. Professor Majkut, who will participate in a panel discussion during the global forum Feb. 17-19 in Israel, teaches philosophy and literature in the College of Letters and Sciences at National University, the second-largest private, nonprofit university in California.

Stedman Graham Joins National University as a Faculty Member of the School of Business and Management

San Diego, Calif. - Dec. 16, 2014 - Stedman Graham, a New York Times bestselling author and businessman, has been named a faculty member at National University, the second-largest private, nonprofit university in California. Mr. Graham joins the University's School of Business and Management where he will teach on leadership topics and contribute to curriculum development. Mr. Graham, who served in the U.S. Army, will also participate in education outreach to members of the military through the University, where one in four students is a current or prior service military member.
