As a nationwide, diversified, community-based financial services company with $1.3 trillion in assets, Wells Fargo provides convenient access to banking, insurance, investments, mortgage, and consumer and commercial finance services through more than 9,000 stores, 12,000 ATMs, and at www.wellsfargo.com. Our customers have entrusted us to manage their financial assets and help them prepare for the future, a confidence we do not take lightly—but that is only a small part of our vision. Knowing that our bank is a part of communities nationwide, we proudly support non-profits and educational institutions that work to strengthen our country by addressing vital community needs and issues. On a national and local level, we direct our giving to areas that we believe are important to the future of our nation's vitality and success: community development, education, and human services.
When National University answered the call to support our veteran students—88% of whom do not finish college—we were inspired to join the effort. For years Wells Fargo has demonstrated its belief that it is an honor to serve those who have served our country bravely by providing programs and services to make banking easier for our servicemen and women— wherever they are around the world. With our Worldwide Military Banking program we have satisfied the financial needs of our nation’s service members for more than a half century; and just last fall, Wells Fargo Home Mortgage established a Military Service Call Center specifically to assist service men and women. Additionally, Wells Fargo employs more than 500 military-certified home mortgage consultants companywide—our customers can find 22 consultants in Southern California, including 13 in San Diego, home to the largest naval fleet in the world.
At Wells Fargo we have long understood that our strength and success is directly linked to the dynamic neighborhoods and communities where we do business. Supporting our communities allows us to better meet our customers' financial needs and helps us to achieve our goal to be one of America's best companies. We are honored to serve as the Commander-in-Chief Title Sponsor and have the opportunity to support our troops by giving veterans the gratitude they deserve in the form of something priceless—education.
