National University held its inaugural fundraising dinner, Visionary Voices -- A Tribute to Our Veterans on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at the Marriott Marquis & Marina. The dinner was an evening of inspiration as we saluted our veterans and brought together military, business and community leaders. To spearhead the campaign, military leader and non-profit founder RADM Ronne Froman, United States Navy (Ret) and entrepreneur and community leader Linden Blue, vice chairman of General Atomics, took the helm as co-chairs. Proceeds from the dinner funded the newly-established Veterans’ Victory Scholarship program, benefiting veteran students, and will serve as the main vehicle to cultivate awareness and visibility of this effort.
At National University, we believe that one of the best ways to thank our military veterans for their service is to support them in achieving their educational and career goals.
The talents, skills and experience of our military veterans are an invaluable resource; helping veterans apply this knowledge to a college education is part of the mission at National University. Establishing the Veterans’ Victory Scholarship Fund further enhances our services for veterans, ensuring that they can receive a quality education and are better poised to make important contributions to our workforce and community.
We hope you will join us in our salute to veterans at the 2013 Visionary Voices -- A Tribute to Our Veterans event.
