Combining creativity, scholarship and technology
A new addition to National University, the School of Media and Communication combines several successful certificate and degree programs and will introduce new programs in the burgeoning fields of digital film-making, digital television production and engineering, video gaming, 'new' media journalism, and public relations.
The school is based in San Diego and has a large strategic presence in Los Angeles, the hub of media and communication industries. The school offers convenient access to professional instruction and hands-on education opportunities. In addition to programs in Multimedia Arts, Digital Cinema and Instructional Technology, the school anticipates offering a Bachelor of Arts with majors in mass communication, public relations, advertising, and 'new' media journalism.
Whether your interests include traditional or new media, the school will provide you with core instruction in media and communication theory, literacy, research, and production to prepare you for careers and advancement in the following high-growth markets:
- Internet publishing and broadcasting
- Multi-media and animation
- Television and film production
- Broadcast engineering
- Online, print and technical writing and editing
- Public relations
- Advertising
Media and Communication degree programs are already in place at National University campuses throughout the state, as well as online. As the school continues to grow, more programs will be added to meet our students' educational goals and the growing market mandate for media professionals.
