Q: I'm a Human Resources Manager looking for training to provide to my organization's employees. Do you provide corporate training opportunities?
A: Yes. Corporate training is available for organizations through Extended Learning at National University. Any course can be tailored to meet an organizational goal while helping you maximize your training budget. Workshops can take place either at your site or one of our 26 different locations throughout California.
Q: How do I pay for an Extended Learning course?
A: You can make payments for Extended Learning courses by calling 1-800-NAT-UNIV ext. 8600 with a credit card or debit card; in person at a center by paying with a check, money order, or in cash; or you can send in payment with a registration form. For your convenience, we accept American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa. Company invoicing is also available.
Q: Can I use Financial Aid for Extended Learning programs?
A: Unfortunately, because Extended Learning courses do not provide academic credit, financial aid cannot be applied toward the courses. However, flexible loan options through independent financial institutions are available. Find more information about an individual loan here.
Q: Can military assistance or veteran's benefits be applied toward Extended Learning courses?
A: Students wishing to apply for programs administered by the Department of Veterans Affairs can obtain information on how to apply for their benefits by calling or visiting the Veterans' Affairs Office located at 9388 Lightwave Ave., San Diego, CA or by calling (858) 541-7970 or (800) 628-8648, ext. 7970.
Q: How can I find out which courses are available at my National University Academic Center?

Q: What makes Extended Learning a good choice for me?
A: First off, many Extended Learning courses are eligible for Continuing Education Units (CEUs). Second, our course offerings are extremely flexible to meet your needs: courses can be taken at any National University location, online, or even at your workplace.
Q: What is a CEU?
A: The Continuing Education Unit (CEU) is a uniform measure of non-credit continuing education learning experience. One CEU is awarded for every 10 contact hours of participation. Employers and others who routinely examine and evaluate individual accomplishments generally accept this unit of measurement.
Q: How can I register for an Extended Learning course?
A: You can download a registration form from the website and mail it to your local center, you can register for a course online,or you can call 1-800-NAT-UNIV ext. 8600. Payment for Extended Learning courses is due at the time of registration.
Q: Is my Social Security Number required to register?
A: Yes. In order to issue you a unique ID number, your Social Security Number is required to register for a class. The ID number will be used as your student ID and not your Social Security Number.
Q: If I withdraw from a class, am I eligible for a refund?
A: For courses that are at least a month long: students who drop a course prior to midnight of the ninth (9th) calendar day after the start date of the session will receive a 100 percent refund. Students who withdraw from a course on the ninth (9th) calendar day of the session will receive a 50 percent refund. Students who withdraw from a course after the ninth (9th) calendar day will receive no refund.
In all cases in which refunds are awarded, the cost of books and materials will be deducted. Non-attendance or notifying an instructor does not constitute officially dropping or withdrawing from a course.
For courses that are less than a month long; the refund policy is as follows:
