About Browser Cache:
When using the Internet, a cashe on your computer stores copies of web pages you have visited in order to increase retrieval time in the future. These storage areas called caches (pronounced ‘cash’) are intended to make Internet browsing faster. However, if you don’t clean your browser’s cache regularly, the files that accumulate can cause errors in your browsing experience. You should clean your browser cache about once a week to help your computer run at top speed.
Cache for Web Portal:
For best use of the SOAR Web portal, you must regularly clean your browser cache. Not doing so presents a variety of anomalies when using the Web portal, especially on Macintosh browsers. Before contacting the IT Helpdesk, follow the instructions below to clean your cache:
Cleaning your Cache:
For Internet Explorer 6.x and 7.x
- Select Tools, then Internet Options in the menu bar.
- Click the "Delete Files" button, and then click the OK button in the confirmation dialog box.
- Click the "Delete Cookies" button, and click OK in the confirmation dialog box.
- Click the OK button in the Internet Options dialog box.
- Close and reopen the browser.
