Internship Course

Course Description

Provides students with on-the-job experience in a private law firm, government agency, judicial setting, or corporate law department. Placements are available in a range of legal specializations. Ninety hours of fieldwork are required. Students unable to enroll in the credit course may apply for consideration as a non-credit intern.

Learning Outcomes

  • Describe common tasks that a paralegal performs in a law-related environment, such as a private law firm, government agency, legal aid office, corporate law department, or judge’s courtroom.
  • Describe how a typical law-related environment functions, including the paralegal’s role therein.
