Salute With a Waive Program

National University’s Salute With a Waive program is designed to support active-duty and active-reserve military students as they pursue further education. Think of it as a “thank you” for your service and dedication to our country!

Students enrolled in participating courses will be able to utilize the Salute With a Waive program to make academic success a reality. Eligible learners gain access to course materials the first day of class. They will also save money — the Salute With a Waive program waives associated embedded eTextbook or course technology fees.*

To see if their classes are part of the Salute With a Waive program, students can login to their SOAR Student Portal. Courses that include an embedded eTextbook through the Day One Access to Resources and Text (DART) program or have a required course technology fee are eligible for the waiver.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Must be an active-duty or active-reserve military servicemember
  • Must opt in to the DART eBook selection(s) in their online course each term
  • Courses must have embedded eTextbook(s) or have a required course technology fee

Opting in to DART eBook selections is easy. On the first day of class, simply log in to your online course and click into the DART eBook link under the Getting Started section. Once the DART eBook is launched, choose to OPT IN to the material(s).

If you have any questions about the Salute With a Waive program, contact your advisor at [email protected] for eligibility questions or the Student Concierge Services department at [email protected] with DART eBook inquires.

*Some courses will have program-specific fees or hard-copy textbooks, making them ineligible for the program.
