Meet the Team
Ashley Maakestad, MSW
Assistant Manager, Student Wellness
Hello! I am excited to work with students providing them with support throughout their time at National University. I know that school, life, work, family, and friends can be a lot to balance all at once, and I am here to support you through this busy season.
As a social worker, I believe in client-centered, strength-based services that allow individuals to learn and navigate through their options with support. I am passionate about working with people and helping them overcome obstacles and connect them to resources. I have a background in working at an emergency shelter serving survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and stalking. Prior to my work there, I worked with youth who had mental health diagnoses.
If you need any assistance, please call or email me directly. If you will be sharing confidential information, please leave the information on a voicemail not in an email.
I look forward to working with you!
