Meet Our Dean
Carol Richardson, Ed.D., has served as dean of the College of Letters and Sciences since January 2013. She was previously dean of the College of Letters, Arts and Social Sciences at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona; was a full professor at the School of Music, Theatre and Dance at the University of Michigan; and served as chair of that school’s Department of Music Education. She was a National Academy of Education/Spencer postdoctoral fellow at the University of New South Wales (Australia) and a fellow of the American Council on Education.
Richardson earned her Doctor of Education in Music at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Master of Music Education at Northwestern University, and Bachelor of Music Education from Valparaiso University.
Richardson has written and edited a number of publications and presented extensively on the subjects of music education and higher education leadership.
