Dr. Ismail Sebetan

Dr. Ismail Sebetan is a Professor in the Forensic Sciences program at National University, San Diego, California. Dr. Sebetan holds an MD degree from Alexandria University, Egypt, and a PhD in Forensic Sciences from Tohoku University School of Medicine, Sendai, Japan. Research interests include Forensic Medicine/pathology, Forensic Serology & DNA, Forensic Anthropology, and Forensic Toxicology. Dr. Sebetan’s research activities include more than 200 peer-reviewed scientific publications and presentations, which are cited in all major forensic sciences, genetics, identification, and forensic pathology journals and textbooks. Dr. Sebetan has extensive experience in forensic sciences with more than 40 years of teaching, practice, and research. Dr. Sebetan’s long forensic career includes administrative experiences as a former Department Chair of Forensic Medicine and the former Academic Program Director of Forensic Sciences at National University.
