Course Description

This course analyzes modern storage and management systems. Topics include storing, managing, and protecting digital information in classic, virtualized, and cloud storage environments. Additional topics include local and remote replication.

  • Contrast virtualized and cloud storage and retrieval environments.
  • Evaluate functionality of IR systems.
  • Apply principles of information retrieval system design
  • Design the most cost-effective system with a given set of constraints.
