Course Description

This course covers important aspects of sensor network communication systems including architecture, management, and policy-awareness service composition. A wide range of wireless sensor networks will be analyzed. The latest research topics related to the management and applications of wireless sensor networks will be investigated.

  • Analyze sensor networks architecture and protocol stack
  • Evaluate routing methods such as hierarchical and geographical protocols.
  • Analyze design factors influencing the architecture of sensor networks
  • Evaluate coordination and communication problems in wireless sensor networks.
  • Analyze access control, policy, network clustering, power saving and management, and security challenges.
  • Design some sensor networks for real-life applications
