Human Factors in Engineering
Course Description
Consideration of human characteristics in the requirements for design of the systems, products and devices. Human-centered design with focus on human abilities, limitations and interface.
Learning Outcomes
- Understand basic ergonomic models, methods and measurements.
- Contrast between different types of design applications with consideration of human factors.
- Apply selected ergonomic models to supplement engineering design.
- Utilize human factors and ergonomic principles in systems design.
