Cyber Security in IT
Course Description
This course examines the environment to be secured, and defines the attributes of that environment. This includes understanding, evaluating and applying security technologies, security threats and security responses in IT infrastructures. This also covers methods of securing the environment and the infrastructure.
Learning Outcomes
- Illustrate by cases the dynamic relationship of humans, processes, and the use of IT.
- Analyze techniques to mitigate malicious software attacks in IT infrastructures.
- Demonstrate understanding of how authentication is used with cryptography to secure information access.
- Critique the testing of a virtual machine for usage in lab exercises.
