CBEM provides a forum to inform, support, and inspire individuals to be entrepreneurs and seek opportunities through enterprise, product, or service creation.
The center enables and empowers NU students and local community members to cultivate the skills, strategies, and innovation required for business development and boosting local industries. Social Impact Pitch Contest
The Social Impact Pitch Contest aims to encourage entrepreneurs in all stages of business concepts to participate. This competition is an excellent opportunity to pitch business concepts to a panel of judges with a chance to win financial funding for your business.
Who should participate?
- Individuals with an idea to start a business
- Individuals who have created a company
- Individuals interested in enhancing their presentation skills
- Individuals who want to explore the idea of starting a company
Ideas presented may be at any stage, and the preliminary competition is split into two groups:
- Group 1 – Preliminary: Concepts that are in the idea stage – with no revenues, prototypes, or products.
- Group 2 – Preliminary: Concepts that are beyond the idea stage – with revenues, prototypes, or products.
After individuals advance through preliminary rounds, there will be a semi-final competition and the winners of the semi-final rounds will present at next year’s National University’s Symposium.
First Place: $2,500
Second Place: $1,000
Third Place: $ 500
