TV Writing Practicum
Course Description
This advanced studio practicum focuses on writing a teleplay for a series pilot based upon the outline created in SCR684 and, in consultation with the instructor, planning for future revision and series bible. This course is graded S, U, or H.
Learning Outcomes
- Synthesize advanced television writing study to write an thorough treatment/outline that is an adaptation of source material or original.
- Incorporate constructive criticism in a forward plan for TV pilot.
- Analyze the experience of writing a thorough treatment/outline for a television pilot in Discussion Board postings.
- Compose a plan for expanding the treatment/outline into a series pilot and potential bible.
