Dev-Prod Writing
Course Description
Covers the rewrite and notes stage of script development including receiving and interpreting notes, how creative executives and producers work with writers, and what happens once a project is ‘greenlit’ and enters the production writing phase.
Learning Outcomes
- Analyze the various stages of the script development process.
- Deconstruct how the needs of various studios and/or production entities determine what happens during the rewrite process before and after a project is ‘greenlight.’
- Devise creative solutions for revisions on a screenplay sample.
- Construct and present a practice pitch and/or partake in a mock notes sessions.
