Seminar in Poetry
Course Description
A poetry workshop where students will learn the craft of poetry by writing their own original work and offering feedback to their peers. Students will be introduced to contemporary poetry though readings and discussions of poems from a poet’s point of view.
Learning Outcomes
- Create publishable-quality works of poetry, showing originality and insight.
- Critically analyze elements of literary writing.
- Apply critical and independent thinking to an analysis of one’s work and the work of others.
