Course Description: A survey of social psychological theories of behavior change and resistance to change.
Course Learning Outcomes:
  • Understand and analyze theories of personal, group, and organizational change drawn from social psychology, social science, organizational studies, organizational development, and systems theory.
  • Compare and contrast the application of change and development theories and processes workplace settings.
  • Apply theories of change to analyze case studies and design intervention strategies.

  • Analyze and apply behavioral and organizational change processes to personal, social, and organizational settings.
  • Analyze empirical and theoretical research related to the major.
  • Analyze the means by which psychological factors influence performance.
  • Apply analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Apply critical thinking skills when designing interventions, functional behavioral assessments, and behavior management plans to mitigate youth behavioral problems.
