Supporting the Whole Adult Learner Through Intentional Interventions to Increase Social Emotional Learning and Student Engagement

In an era where the focus on holistic development has never been more pronounced, our educational institutions are recognizing the profound impact of Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) not only on students but also on the adults who guide and nurture them. The need to foster positive emotional well-being, cultivate meaningful connections, and enhance interpersonal skills among educators is at the forefront of creating a thriving learning environment. Our esteemed panelists today are leaders in the field, working tirelessly to bridge the gap between academic achievement and emotional intelligence. They are here to share their insights, strategies, and experiences in navigating the complex terrain of social and emotional learning for adults within the educational setting. As we embark on this enlightening discussion, we will explore the role of school counselors, BCBAs, and school psychologists in spearheading initiatives that promote engagement, foster empathy, and cultivate a culture of emotional intelligence among educators. Our aim is not only to enhance the well-being of the adult stakeholders in education but also to create a ripple effect that positively impacts the overall school community.
