National University's Sanford Education Center Receives Anonymous $9.22 Million Gift
San Diego, Calif. - July 30, 2014 - National University, California's second-largest private, nonprofit university, announced today an anonymous $9.22 million gift for the Sanford Education Center, which is being created to affect positive change in our society through programs that support the development of nonprofit leaders, teachers and others dedicated to the public good. The donation is the largest ever received by the University, and will cover construction costs and the development of innovative programs offered through the Center's Sanford Cause Leadership Program and Sanford Education Programs. Faculty Accolades: National University Professor's Artwork Featured at Prestigious San Diego Exhibition
A painting by Annette Cyr of National University's College of Letters and Sciences, has been selected to be part of the Athenaeum's 23rd Annual Juried Exhibition in La Jolla, Calif. Cyr's work was chosen from over 1,100 images submitted by 220 artists for the prestigious event. The opening reception takes place Friday, Aug. 1, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., when first, second and third place honors will be awarded by jurors from prominent arts institutions.
