Introduction to Cybersecurity

Course Description

An introductory survey course that explores the fundamental concepts of cybersecurity. Coverage includes the concepts of confidentiality, integrity, and availability, cybersecurity policy, and the ethical and legal aspects of cybersecurity.

Learning Outcomes

  • Describe the concepts of confidentiality, integrity, and availability and their relationship to cybersecurity.
  • Specify the role of cybersecurity policy in protecting information in a computer and network environment.
  • Define the legal and ethical responsibilities of a cybersecurity professional.
