Focus on infant and toddler development and the role of the adult in supporting optimal outcomes through routines, curriculum planning, and implementation. Candidates will examine the primary components of quality care and education.
- Identify behaviors on the developmental domain continuum through knowledge of ages and stages in relation to varied abilities.
- Identify developmentally and culturally appropriate practices to be used in environment design, curriculum planning, scheduling and routine care.
- Discuss routines and play as the essential elements of curriculum for infants and toddlers.
- Plan a series of intentional learning experiences based on assessment for an infant and/or toddler group where at least one experience involves family participation.
