Course Description
Focus on essential elements of curriculum design including writing of goals, learning outcomes, developmentally appropriate activities, assessment measures and integration of the arts. Alignment with national and state standards stressed.
Learning Outcomes
- Describe the essential elements of curricula design.
- Design integrated curriculum for young children that include learning outcomes, developmentally age appropriate activities, and assessment measures for diverse settings and children.
- Demonstrate skills involving families in curriculum designs.
- Design integrated curriculum for young children that meets standards set forth by the National Association for the Education of Young children and Child Development Associates.
