Course Description

This course will support understanding in the knowledge and competencies that are required for proper administration and interpretation of standardized measures and other research-based evaluations of emotional and behavioral conditions.

Learning Outcomes

  • Evaluate appropriate assessment tools used for psychological and behavioral assessments
  • Interpret data based on tests administered and scored by the student.
  • Integrate information to develop comprehensive reports of assessment including differential diagnosis of handicapping conditions, recommendations for interventions appropriate to inclusion options and strategies of improving social-emotional behaviors.
  • Communicate effectively the results of the assessments including statement of handicapping condition, strategies of improving social-emotional behaviors, goals, and recommendations to teachers, staff, and parents.
